A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee will be held tomorrow, Sunday (December 21) to observe the moon of Rajab, 1447 Hijri.
The meeting is scheduled at 5:15 pm after Maghrib prayers at the Islamic Foundation hall in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Dhaka, a press release said on Saturday (December 20).
The session will review reports regarding the sighting of the Rajab moon and make a decision accordingly.
Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain will preside over the meeting.
The Islamic Foundation has requested to notify the concerned Deputy Commissioner (DC) or Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of the respective district or inform the committee by calling 02-41053294, 02-226640510, 02-223383397 if the moon of Rajab is sighted anywhere in Bangladesh.
